getting old

O'mi celebrated his first birthday last weekend. He was in a good mood even the day before:

During lunch, O'mi patrolled the floor:

When O'mi gets tired, this happens:

still

This weekend was a bit busy as Kiyomi celebrated a birthday and her very first Mother's Day. To commemorate the occasion, I romantically settled on getting a television. It is big.

More appealing to the eye are the flowers my mother and I got for Kiyomi.

O'mi's eyes are still interesting colors:

O'mi enjoys the subway:

Kiyomi and O'mi at a garden, where O'mi swiftly shifted his eyes to a young woman walking:

O'mi has been spending too much time with Rocky. He crawled around like this for a good 20 minutes:

O'mi has been experimenting with new sleeping positions:

Squats, oh no.

O'mi likes to do squats/pull-ups while working on his flexibility at the same time.

He also has learned a new trick. If I say "oh no" he puts his hands on his head. However, the video is about a week old and he wouldn't do the gesture unless I did it too--hence, some shaky camera work halfway through.

Now the words "oh no" suffice (usually). When I edited this clip, O'mi heard "oh no" from the speakers, stopped playing, and put his hands on his head.

Standing tall, sort of.

O'mi has learned he can roll over and pull himself up in his play-pen/bed. This is not good. If he doesn't want to go to sleep he appears like this when we open the door:

making quite a racket.

Eating has become an adventure. O'mi needs to learn how to take smaller bites instead of wolfing things down like Rocky does.

zombie noises

Now that O'mi is eleven months old, he has learned to mimic a few things.

For some reason he likes to growl like a zombie:

He also mimics our coughs, sometimes:

slow

It's been rainy most of the week so there hasn't been much to do. O'mi crawls a little faster, but still doesn't corner very well. His will to power is getting stronger every day. So, a few old pictures (1 week old or so), and a new video of O'mi with Rocky.

The cheery cherry blossoms were falling:

Which means new leaves:

On this walk I noticed on the neighborhood bulletin board some graffiti. In translation, it reads "Topple North Korea":

And the moving picture:
